RPS V-Star Club:

Reliance Public School believes in quality human production and for the same, it believes in amalgamation of quality education with better nurturing of kids. Pursuing the same, School has been running “V-Star” club since the last two years. The club, formed under the guidance of the faculties of School, insures the membership of dynamic students. And it is actively involved in building the better character making each individual students of school follow specific pattern of the activities every day.

The club aims at bringing positive changes on students making them follow three basic habit building components: Respect, Patience and Discipline and to attain the same goal, students are prescribed to follow fivefold activities of Cleanliness, Orderliness, Politeness, Punctuality and Meditation every day. Besides these, the students are assigned to follow ten daily routines and the record of their activities are strictly verified by the concerned class teachers/faculties.

RPS Junior Toastmasters Club (Gavel Club)

Reliance Public School has formed Junior Toastmasters Club (Gavel Club) for the Senior School Students. The sole motto of the club is to enhance the mass speaking and presentation ability of the students. They not only take part in the speaking practices in the club but also they listen to others and provide prompt feedback to the speakers and hence, they can work on their weaknesses in the next meeting.

There are three sessions; Table Topic Session, Featured Speech Session and Evaluation Session. The speakers instantly speak after the question is raised during the first session. In the second session, three speakers come up with their prepared speech and within the certain time frame, they deliver their speech. And in the final session, all the speakers are given quick feedback by the direct and indirect evaluators. All the winners are awarded with motivational prize in order to inspire them for the next club meet.

RPS Reading Club

RPS forms Reading Club in order to enhance the reading skills of the students. The club is designed to promote students’ participation, leadership and presentation skills, reading habit, personal and professional growth via fictional and non-fictional text reading. The Club operates offering books to the students every week to read and are assigned to prepare PPT presentation exploring multiple aspects related with book and its content at least once a month. However, the juniors are assigned to make their presentation on chart papers. It runs with an individual, pair and group work presentation. Basically, during the course, the role of teachers remain only of mentor or facilitator. Irrespective of the several differences among students, they are found to have involved actively in the club making choice of their best liking books.  

The Club reserves membership of all the respective faculties from junior school to senior ensuring participation of all the students as well. Another beauty of the club is the formation of forum for presentation with the understanding of students in the presence of respective faculties and book writers from different genres in Nepal. And the review of Book is managed once a month where the post reading contents, skills and context of the concerned books are hugely discussed and evaluated thoroughly by the experts and teachers.

Student Council

R.P.S. students council is a student body associated with curricular or extra-curricular activity for the students within school. It is a group of student leaders who work with an adult supervisor to collaborate with others to impact their school. It is a representative body composed chiefly of students chosen by their teacher and principal to organize social and extra-curricular activities and to promote unity, mutual cooperation among the students and also to sharpen their creativity.

Aim & Objectives :

  • To foster communication among students, administrative staffs and community.
  • To promote, organize and execute activities that encourage student pride and school spirit.
  • To install democratic ideals, provides an outlet for the student expression.
  • This council is a forum for aiding in the solution of school problems.

What types of activities can be run or carried out by the students council ?

              The students council can organize :

  1. Drawing / Painting competition.
  2. Preparation of poster for public awareness
  3. Exhibition
  4. Blood donation camp
  5. Tree plantation
  6. Celebrating National Days/festival
  7. Community clearing campaign
  8. Cultural exchange programme
  9. Community visit and data collection
  10. Keeping suggestion box regarding the student concern and comment.

What is the primary reason for a school opening students council ?

  1. Training young students in leadership teaching.
  2. Introducing different social service activities to encourage students to participate & socialize them.
  3. Facilitating fund raising for service as school activities.

What kinds of activities can the members of student council follow ?

          Student council members are elected representatives of our student body that organization numerous school event such as :

  1. Prizes are awarded for the many active students who had shown outstanding performance in various activities run by student council.
  2. It also hosts various cultural and sports programme.
  3. It also organizes community services.
  4. It can also raise fund for the socially down trodden backward, poor and physically dissolved people.

Student council can also help to share the student ideas, interest and concern with teacher and school principal.

 

Formation of Council :

             The students council will be found under the guidance & control of the school principal, council chairperson and different wing coordinator. There are 30 members (students) in the executive body of the students council which distributes its power and responsibilities as per the instruction of the management and school rules.
